Rick Shiels is now one of the most recognisable names, faces and voices in world golf. The fact that he has reached this level of fame and isn’t a multiple major winner on the PGA Tour shows just how much the sport has changed over the last 10 years.
The Englishman has a huge following on social media and in particular YouTube. His three channels have massed millions of views and subscribers to elevate his profile to one of the most influential people in the sport.
Known for both his course vlogs and equipment reviews, you may be interested in seeing what golf gear the YouTube star games. Well in a recently released video on his H.I.T GOLF YouTube channel, Shiels went through his full golf bag for this year. He’s everything you need to know…

A look inside Rick Shiels’ bag
Rick has previously spoke about how he had a tendency to change golf equipment to easily and quickly. This is something in which he has worked on in giving him more consistency with his golf game.
So, starting off with his driver, Shiels opted to go for the new TaylorMade Qi35 LS driver. This is a club which he has gamed for the whole of 2025 and was particularly impressed with how straight and far he could hit it. This is something in which he has put more value into, especially playing over in America more often and on LIV courses.
Interestingly, the only other metal wood the YouTuber has in his bag is a Callaway Elyte Titanium 3-wood. This is quite the contrast to what is the common occurrence on tour these days. Most tour professionals choose to play a five, seven or even a nine wood instead of the longer irons.
One of the main reasons as to why Shiels doesn’t have more fairway woods in his bag is his love affair with the Titleist U500 Utility Iron. He uses the 3-iron version of this and swears by it being one of his most trusted golf clubs. I don’t think we’ll be seeing this leave his bag anytime soon.

The rest of his iron set-up consists of a full set of TaylorMade P-7CB irons. This includes a four iron, all the way down to a pitching wedge.
His short game features three Titleist Vokey SM10 wedges. The Englishman uses a 50°, 56° and 60° after switching from a set of TaylorMade MG4 wedges earlier this year. He prefers to have less of a reflection from the toe and heel of the club which these Vokeys provide.
Last and by no means least is his favourite club in the bag. The Ping PLD Custom Putter. You may have seen on his Youtube channel that Rick went for Ping putter fitting and came away with this custom flat stick. From the minute he put it in the bag, he hasn’t seemed to be able to stop draining monster putts.
