Haotong Li has a mixed bag of clubs that are doing him very well at The Open 2025 at Royal Portrush – currently sitting in 2nd, four shots behind Scottie Scheffler.
His previous best finish at The Open was 3rd in 2017 but could he go one, or even two, better in 2025?
He has previously won four times on the DP World Tour – with his most recent win coming at the Qatar Masters 2025. Previous wins included pipping Rory McIlroy to the Dubai Dessert Classic in 2018 and Thomas Pieters in a playoff at the BMW International Open in 2022.
Having struggled in recent times it is great to see the likeable golfer from China back in contention and competing at the top of the leaderboard.

Haotong Li WITB
Haotong Li is definitely not a one brand player. At the top of the bag he opts for the Titleist G2 driver but that is supported by the TaylorMade R7 Quad mini driver.
He then moves into a Titleist T350 utility 3 iron before switching into the Srixon ZXi7 irons (4-PW).
When it comes to the wedges he carries three Titleist Vokey wedges.
On the putting green he chooses to roll his Titleist Pro V1 with the Odyssey Jailbird 360 Prototype putter.
