For the 2017 European Tour season it was announced that there would be a Rolex Series which sponsored some of the flagship events on the tour’s calendar but what is it?

What is the Rolex Series?
The Rolex Series, ultimately, involves eight events throughout the European Tour season, culminating in the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai. Each event has an inflated prize fund and has more Race to Dubai points on offer.

Abu Dhabi Championship: 16-19 January 2019
Irish Open: 4-7 July 2019
Scottish Open: 11-14 July 2019
BMW PGA Championship: 19-22 September 2019
Italian Open: 10-13 October 2019
Turkish Open: 7-10 November 2019
Nedbank Golf Challenge: 14-17 November 2019
DP World Tour Championship: 21-24 November 2019
Prize Money and Race to Dubai Points
Each Rolex Series event carries with it $7 million in prize money and 7m Race to Dubai points, except for the penultimate event and final event the Nedbank Golf challenge and DP World Tour Championship. Where prize money increases to $7.5m and $8m respectively and Race to Dubai points increase to 7.5m and 8m respectively.
