With the final day of the Masters underway, this is the place to be for all the latest quotes from Augusta National, regularly updated throughout the evening.

We start with Danny Willett, with the Englishman ending his first trip to Augusta with final tally of +1.
“All-in-all it’s been a really brilliant week…The golf course has been really good today and somebody could go out and get a really good number, but by the same token you can hit a lot of good shots and not get anything for it.”

Coming to this one a little late, but as they were heading to the third tee, Justin Rose was heard to mutter to Jordan Spieth:
“Every Rose has its thorns”
A bit of gamesmanship from Rosey who sits in second, four shots off the pace.

"I saw a putt go in on the first and we were up and running" – 2015 Masters champion Jordan Spieth Some more from Willett, who has described his week on the course as “stale” and scored 71 on the final day.
“It’s a bit disappointing. I played some good golf but didn’t quite ever get it going. I had 33 putts today for a 71, so my ball striking is good but I couldn’t take advantage. It was abit of a stale week really, on the course.”

Jamie Donaldson has enjoyed his best-ever round at Augusta with a score of 67 and the Welshman has been reflecting on his day:
“I got the pace of the greens great today. They were a bit quicker and I suppose it suited the way I was rolling it. The three previous days I was playing pretty good, but couldn’t get the pace of the green… Today I was bob on.
“I would say six under out there would be a good score, possibly seven. If anyone in the chasing pack could get that, they have had a hell of a day out.”

Patrick Reed has been talking about how the face of his 3 wood “caved in” on the second tee:
“I literally have a hole in the golf club”

Luke Donald, who missed the cut, sends out a Tweet expressing his concern for Woods, who was attacked by a tree root after attempting a recovery shot on the ninth.
“Seriously bad luck for Tiger on 9 if that turns out to be something serious. Wrist injuries are no fun!”
Tiger’s driving has let him down so far and he’s spending a lot of time in the woods (sorry).

Rickie Fowler has finished in the top 10 of a Major for the fifth time in a row. His 67 is the best round of the day so far:
“I had some really good swings and some bad parts, but that’s golf. I just need to get rid of some mistakes…It was a good solid weekend and a good finish.”

Is Peter Alliss getting a tad bored? Sound’s like he’s a little disappointed in Rose, even if the young Texan is threatening to put together the best performance at a Major ever:
“It sounds ridiculous but it has gone a bit flat, Spieth has been magnificent and we were expecting a bit more from the chasing pack. Spieth has been so calm, his eyes are calm.”

Sergio Garcia has reaffirmed his ‘affection’ for Augusta National. The Spaniard finished on 5-under and reserved praise for champion-elect Spieth, who has taken to the course in a way Garcia could only dream of:
“Everybody knows my feelings about this place and how uncomfortable I feel, so I think there’s definitely some positives to take away. Obviously I play the par 5s horribly every year and that’s probably what puts me where it puts me. If I was able to play them a little better it would be a different story, but that’s the way it was.
“[Spieth’s] a wonderful player. He has been playing very well, not only last year but all of this year… obviously I maybe didn’t see him shooting as low as he is shooting, but I definitely saw him contending here and I knew he had a good chance of winning.”

Ian Poulter’s had a decent tournament and is tied for sixth as he signs off with a score of -9. After reflecting on his own challenge, Poults said:
“Obviously I think the way I played was a highlight. To only miss four greens for the entire weekend was, for me, impressive golf. But missed shots on Thursday and Friday, not getting up and down, was too expensive and left me with a lot of work to do.

One shot behind Poulter was Paul Casey, whose total of 9-under was impressive. Unfortunately for Casey, Spieth has just become the first player in Masters history to go -19. Casey, who had been playing in his first Masters since missing the cut in 2012, said:
“I’m ecstatic with that, at one point racing along, thinking I am contending for the lead. It pales in comparison to the top of the leaderboard but it’s a golf course I’ve loved and it’s good to be back here.
“But [Spieth’s] performance, which is reminiscent of Tiger blowing the field away, it really is something very special…the players are not usually easily impressed, but there’s a lot of impressed players in the locker room and on the range.”

Rory didn’t exactly play badly, and the Northern Irishman said he was pleased with his week’s work. There will have been many years when a score of -12 would have been enough for McIlroy to complete the career grandslam, if not for a certain 21-year-old Texan. McIlroy said:

“I played well over the entire weekend, although it was a disappointing finish yesterday. There were a lot of positives to take from it, but I just didn’t quite have enough and no one looks like they could have kept up with Jordan this week.
“[Spieth] should enjoy it and it’s great to see another young Major champion and it’s great for the game.”

Tiger Woods has spoken about his wrist injury on the ninth, when he hit a tree root:
“A joint came out of place, but I put it back in.”

Lefty had a great tournament and finishes tied for second alongside Justin Rose on -14. The three-time Masters winner said:
“I just got out played, Jordan was terrific. He’s obviously a tremendous player, but he’s a tremendous individual too…It’s hard not to pull for the guy.
“I played good golf, I would have taken 14-under at the start of the week and would have thought that I would have won. Even though there are some birdies out there, it’s still not an easy course and he played some tremendous golf.”

Justin Rose mounted a respectable challenge and his score of -14 would have been enough to win 73 of the 79 previous Masters. He spoke of how this loss was similar to those of other players such as Ernie Els, who would have won far more tournaments if not for Tiger’s dominance. Has the Spieth era begun? Rose thinks it might have:
“14 under round here? I will take that every year and take my chances of winning.”

Speaking before he was presented with the Masters Champion Green Jacket by Bubba Watson, Spieth spoke of his nerves throughout the day and how he couldn’t sleep – you wouldn’t know it from the way he played.
“It was very nerve-wracking today. I thought today might have been a little easier, playing with the lead, but it was not. I didn’t get much sleep last night, but I saw a putt go in on the first and we were up and running.
“It’s the most incredible week of my life, this is as great as it gets in our sport and this is a dream come true for me. To shoot some low rounds and see some putts go in and hear those roars from the crowd, it was remarkable.
“It still hasn’t kicked in, I’m still in shock. I’m sure it will settle in, but it’s really cool to share this experience with my family.
“Now I want to be like Bubba… I want to win two masters. I am excited for the opportunity of the year ahead, to be able to play as Masters champion.”
Watched by Augusta National chairman Billy Payne and Jim Nantz within the Butler Cabin, Spieth slides on the Green Jacket (getting a little caught up with the sleeve), and the festivities can begin for the Spieth clan.
