TaylorMade have launched a new mid-range, three-piece ball that will retail for less than £30 a dozen.
The RocketBallz – or RBZ – is designed to offer ‘insane distance’ and ‘exceptional short game performance’.
TaylorMade say it achieves this by utilising a unique core and a mid-layer that increases velocity and improves iron spin dor all swing speeds. These technologies combined should maximise distance, according to the brand.
In order to achieve good feel around the greens, the RocketBallz ball features a soft, thin cover that improves spin on both iron shots and chips.
“The new Rocketballz golf ball is for the golfer who wants to add a little distance and confidence to their game,” said John Kawaja, TaylorMade Executive Vice President.
“Golfers of all abilities will add distance to all facets of their game without having to compromise performance around the greens.”
The ball will be released to the public on February 3rd 2012.
