Skycaddie have launched their first mobile GPS application for the very first time.
A free download available for Android and iOS devices, the app allows golfers to access Skycaddie’s database from their smartphones.
The app launch means that players of all abilities can now access course information directly from their own device with no need for a specialist Skycaddie device.
Jacqui Surman, Vice President of Sales & Marketing said: “Skycaddie Mobile is designed as an entry-level product which allows us to complete our mission to provide ‘A Skycaddie for Every Golfer’.
“Since Skycaddie Mobile runs on a smartphone and not a precision-engineered and dedicated SkyCaddie device, it is not an equal substitute for a real Skycaddie.”
Users can access premium features by making an in-app purchase of Skycaddie Mobile Premium at £20.99 per year.
This purchase grants access to the TruGround library of course maps using the phone’s GPS signal.
Skycaddie Premium also includes:
- Interactive HoleVue in HD, which provides a bird’s-eye view of the entire hole and the distances needed to any point from tee to green to avoid hazards and play smart golf.
- Integrated HoleVue Targets, including up to 40 geo-referenced targets per hole. Golfers simply pinch and zoom HoleVue to seamlessly reveal the critical distances to all hazards, carries and layups — not just a few calculated layup yardages provided in other apps … all without changing screens to a list of targets that are hard to understand.
- Detailed Green Information allows golfers to view the exact shape of the green and get distances to the front, centre and back from anywhere on the course.
- Auto-Hole Advance, which automatically advances to the next hole so the distances needed for the next shot are always ready.
- Measure Any Shot allows golfers to learn the distances of each club, making them better golfers and saving wasted strokes.
Golfers can also subscribe to SkyGolf 360 Premium which provides Cloud storage, advanced scoring stats, reports, charts, lives scores and more.
