Sergio Garcia has caused uproar after being spotted in a surprise place less than 24 hours after withdrawing from the BMW PGA Championship.
The LIV Golf star had already angered many players at Wentworth for participating in the DP World Tour’s flagship event, and soon fuelled more backlash when he pulled out of the tournament with no official reasoning after an opening round 76.
And then, just when everyone was starting to speculate what had happened to Garcia, it suddenly became very clear where the Spaniard was during round two…
For those still wondering, that’s Garcia and his wife alongside Scottie Scheffler at a college football match in Texas – just 48 hours after his first round at the BMW PGA Championship.
Before the shock outing, play had been suspended at Wentworth following the death of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, casting several doubts over the future of the tournament.
But with play resuming on Saturday, and Garcia withdrawing with no explanation only to be seen living it up in Texas, the LIV star quickly caused uproar across social media…
These types of WD’s should warrant suspension
