Mickelson’s hilarious exchange with young fan
“If I could hit my 3-wood 260 I would probably go for it.”
Phil Mickelson has had a turbulent 2017 season but over the weekend at the Dell Technologies Championship he found some form.
Lefty is a big dilemma for Presidents Cup captain Steve Stricker having missed out on automatic qualification for the biennial event which begins on September 28.
But, even with the pressure of playing his way into a captains pick Phil managed to make this young fans week – and, what a great response!

Phil: “Would you go for it here out of the rough or would you lay up?”
Fan: “If I could hit my 3-wood 260, I would probably go for it.” (yeah, us too!)
Phil: “I like the way you think.”
Young Riley is ALL of us.
