The European Tour logo has changed.
From October 1, the logo will no longer feature Harry Vardon as part of a brand identity overhaul.
There is also a new identity – ‘Driving Golf Further’ – that features alongside the new logo and this will be the updated focus for the Tour as they look to continue to help the sport develop.
The roll-out of the logo will coincide with the launch of the Tour’s new website and app which it says have been developed to continue supporting their principles of innovation, inclusivity and globality.
With these principles in mind, the Tour say it has been able to lead the way in unique content creation, varied tournament formats and more – or ‘Driving Golf Further’.
The Wentworth-based organisation has also recently invested in refurbishment of its headquarters, which is where the reveal took place with CEO Keith Pelley.
Speaking about launch, Pelley said: “It is an exciting time for us to unveil our new brand strategy. While we continue to celebrate our traditions and our core audience, the Tour has a strong desire to innovate and broaden the appeal of our sport.”
The Tour’s head of commercial partnerships, Max Hamilton, added: “Golf remains the sport of business, with 90 per cent of CEOs playing our sport. However, we believe golf has to modernise and appeal to everyone to thrive. We hope our bold new creative and brand strategy will attract new partners who align with our new brand ideals.”
