One of the highlights of the European Tour schedule and a final chance to grab a Ryder Cup spot – but who is our tipster backing for glory?

Connor Syme (100/1, 6 places) has significantly improved his driving accuracy over the last two weeks and, given that he has made his last four cuts playing some very consistent golf, he could be worth a look here on this tight layout.

The young Scot bagged his best career finish in Austria at the Shot Clock Masters earlier in the year when draining a huge putt on the final green to finish runner-up to reaffirm his undoubtedly huge potential.

And this quick learner can continue his strong form here on a course that the majority in this field will be playing for the very first time.

Continuing the theme of accurate drivers, Ashley Chesters (140/1, 5 places) and Jazz Janewattananond (125/1, 6 places) are two of the straightest from the tee and both have the potential to upset the Ryder Cup hopefuls at the head of the market with a win this week.

Firstly, Chesters always rates highly in accuracy and the Englishman played well last year in this event when finishing 31st.

He’s made his last two cuts and showed promise in the final round last week when shooting a 68 to bounce back from a third round 75.

As for Janewattananond, the young Thai secured his best ever European Tour finish two weeks ago in Sweden when finishing 6th at the Nordea Masters.

That performance at the tight, quirky Hills Golf Club should be a good pointer for success this week where players will need to keep the ball in play at all costs.
