Lady Golfer: Events for the whole clubhouse

When you’re playing British golf courses, it can be a little demoralising to be faced with typical British weather all of the time.

The courses themselves, whilst leafy and green, can seem a little dull when under a constant cloud of gloom. That’s why when you’re getting all the girls together for a round of golf, the clubhouse must include activities for all which will make everyone feel motivated and inspired.

You can all get to know each other, and have some fun at the same time!


Afternoon Tea

What can be better in the middle (or at the end) of a round of golf than a spot of afternoon tea? It’s classy, it’s easy, and most of all… it’s super tasty!

Depending on your clubhouse, you can have the entire event catered, or you could have each lady bring their own favourite specialty cake. From Victoria sponge to the finest salmon sandwiches, there’s something to get everyone’s energy back up after a long round.

You can serve tea and coffee to perk everyone up even moreso, and of course… there’s always room to crack out the prosecco. Always.

Bingo

Now, now. This one is for ALL ladies, not just those of a certain age! Bingo is a game which is easy to keep up with, and it gives everyone a fair shot, from the beginner to the advanced. Why bingo? Well, any clubhouse is about combining fun with success, right? Bingo has some serious experience with that! 32Red Bingo has their own list of winners so you can see just how often players can win. One woman managed to earn over £10,000 from the Cash Splash 5-Reel game format!

For the lady with a healthy sense of humour, there is Bridesmaids bingo on there. Those ladies had a cracking time in the movie – perhaps a sign of things to come?!

Pot Luck Dinner Party

Eating is a bit of a theme here, but walking around the course soon works up an appetite (ladies with a FitBit can surely verify just how many calories are actually burned!) With so many women at the clubhouse, there’s bound to be one or two good cooks around. Each lady can bring her best dish and everyone can enjoy eating it. That’s all there is to it. There’s something for everyone, from the greedy to the one who just eats salad. And everyone else in between!

Cocktail Making Class

What better way to bond than over a few drinks? Cocktail making parties are all the rage, and they could be coming soon to a clubhouse near you! Whether you’ve worked in a bar, or you wouldn’t dream of working a day longer in your life, cocktail making classes are more about the fun and the flavours than the skills (although that’s an awesome bonus). Just make sure that nobody gets too carried away with the tasting portion.

Why not combine the cocktail making with one of the other activities? Tipsy bingo can be a lot of fun, as can tipsy eating. Okay, just being tipsy in general.

Dog Grooming Day

Lots of ladies at your golf club are bound to have puppies and pooches as pets, so why not bring in the groomers for the day? The little treasures can have their fur groomed to their little hearts’ content! Is there anything cuter than a pug wearing a bow tie or a little puppy in something sparkly? Probably not, and it’s so adorable that even those without pets of their own will want to come to watch.


Cards

It might be old-fashioned, but a good old card game is ideal for everyone. It’s been a staple part of the social circuit for years and years now, and it’s a great bonding exercise. You can play for fun, for money, or even for something naughtier (more drinks, anyone?!).

If snap or blackjack aren’t up your street, you could always try Cards Against Humanity. It’s not for the faint-hearted, so maybe wait until the more uptight members of the group have retired for the night! Of course, you could split the group in two – cards and bingo, for example, can go hand in hand, so why not give it a go?


Of course, no matter what you do, the friends you make at the clubhouse will be friends for life, so make each moment count!
