Czech Masters betting tips and preview
Sebastien Gros (125/1, 6 places) bounced back from an opening 71 last week to hit three straight under-par rounds – including a Friday 64, complete with a hole-in-one – to finish 13th at the Nordea Masters.
The two-time Challenge Tour winner looks to have finally settled at European Tour level and he should be able to use his length off the tee to give himself enough good chances at Albatross Golf Resort.
The Frenchman hit the 12th most greens in the field last week, and he has form in the Czech Republic on the Challenge Tour when finishing 4th at the Czech Challenge three years ago.
Another Challenge Tour graduate that could go well here is Tapio Pulkkanen (200/1, 6 places).
The Finn would have felt a sense of restriction off the tee last week at the tight Hills Golf Club, but he still managed a respectable 34th place finish.
Pulkkanen averages over 310 yards off the tee and, while he’ll be making his debut here at Albatross, he has good memories of these parts after finishing runner-up to the classy Julian Suri last year at the Czech Challenge.
Finally, Jonathan Thomson (350/1, 6 places) looks worthy of some spare change. The powerful Englishman came from nowhere to be in the mix last year here before fading in the final round on the way to a 54th place finish.
That was his European Tour debut, and even though his season hasn’t been particularly great, he showed signs of form last week at the Nordea Masters when finishing 29th, so he should be able to improve on last year’s performance.
