We rank some of the world’s best athletes who happen to be good at golf…

Best golfers from other sports
Tony Romo
Sport: American Football (Retired)
Team: Dallas Cowboys (2003-2016)
Handicap: Scratch
The 38-year-old has turn to golf now his American Football career is over and he’s pretty good at it too. Romo won two amateur titles in 2018 which included the American Century Championship, a modified stableford tournament for some of the world’s best celebrity golfers.
He’s also had the opportunity to play on the PGA Tour through a sponsors exemption but unfortunately finished dead last at the Corales Punctacana Resort and Club Championship.
Tom Irwin
Tom is a lifetime golfer, now over 30 years playing the game. 2023 marks 10 years in golf publishing and he is still holding down a + handicap at Alwoodley in Leeds. He has played over 600 golf courses, and has been a member of at least four including his first love Louth, in Lincolnshire. Tom likes unbranded clothing, natural fibres, and pencil bags. Seacroft in Lincolnshire is where it starts and ends.
