The PGA Tour is back in action following last week’s Ryder Cup in Rome with one of Luke Donald’s heroes set to see it up in the 2023 Sanderson Farms Championship.
Where is the 2023 Sanderson Farms Championship played?
The Country Club of Jackson will once again host the Sanderson Farms Championship. The venue is located in Jackson, Mississippi and is a par-72 golf course measuring 7,461 yards.
When is the 2023 Sanderson Farms Championship?
This year’s Sanderson Farms Championship will be played between October 5-8, 2023.
The tournament is the second of seven FedEx Cup Fall Events.
Who is in the 2023 Sanderson Farms Championship field?
Team Europe hero Ludvig Aberg is set to make the trip to Mississippi following his Ryder Cup debut in what will be the Swede’s eighth PGA Tour event, making six cuts out of seven on the tour so far since turning professional.
Defending champion MacKenzie Hughes will be looking to hold on to his title this week. The Canadian defeated Sepp Straka in a play-off in 2022 to claim his second career victory on the PGA Tour.
Elsewhere, the highest-ranked player in the field will be Argentine Emiliano Grillo who is ranked at No. 35 in the Official World Golf Rankings and the only player in the field to have qualified for last season’s Tour Championship.
Other notable players in the field include Joel Dahmen, Tom Hoge, and Eric Cole.

How much do you get for winning this week?
The prize purse for the Sanderson Farms Championship 2023 has been set at $8.2 million, an increase of $300,000 compared to last year’s tournament.
The winner’s share for the tournament has been set at $1,476,000, a slight increase of $54,000 compared to the amount Mackenzie Hughes took home last year. The tournament winner will also receive 500 FedEx Cup points.

UK viewers will be able to watch the tournament live on Sky Sports. Viewers in the USA will be able to watch via ESPN+ and the Golf Channel.

Not one to change his equipment too often, Matthew currently plays the TaylorMade M2 driver which has lasted the test of time in his bag. Elsewhere, you’ll find him using the TaylorMade Stealth 2 three-wood with a Ping G425 Crossover 2-iron to aid his long game.
Through his 4-iron to Gap Wedge, Matthew uses the Ping i500 irons accompanied by Ping’s Glide 3.0 56-degree and 60-degree wedges.
Another club that has stood the test of time in his bag is a Nike Method Core MC-3i putter which has had to have the SuperStroke grip changed at least three times. Ball of choice is the Titleist ProV1.
