The weather forecast for the Ryder Cup is crucial to both the players and the fans, so what is the outlook this week at Marco Simone Country Club?

The weather is something no one can help but is vital in preparing for the Ryder Cup for both the players and the fans.

No one wants to play golf in pouring rain and nor does anyone want to walk around spectating in it either.

The 44th Ryder Cup heads to Marco Simone Golf and Country Club in Rome, Italy this week where temperatures are still high and the sun is still out.

The heavy rough and narrow fairways already provide enough obstacles for the players at this venue, but could the dry and sunny conditions make the course even tougher?

Below we have a summary of the 2023 Ryder Cup weather forecast:

Weather forecast for the Ryder Cup

As you can see from the images below courtesy of Accuweather, the players and the fans are set for a glorious week of sunshine at Marco Simone.

It will be 29 degrees in Rome on the final practice day on Thursday, while the sunshine is set to continue into the first day of competition on Friday.

The forecast suggests plenty of sunshine on Saturday as well and this doesn’t change as we head into the singles session on Sunday.

There is virtually no chance of rain this week at the Ryder Cup.

Marco Simone weather in September

The final week in September is one of the coldest in temperature, which says a lot about the highs the area sees at the beginning of the month.

September 7 saw a high of 33 degrees, as did September 10. At the end of August, the Marco Simone area saw a high of 35 degrees – perhaps even too hot to play golf!

As the area begins to go through October, Rome will likely see more rainfall throughout the month and a significant decrease in temperature as we get nearer to November.

Sunrise and sunset

On Friday, the first day of the Ryder Cup, there will be just short of 12 hours of daylight, with the sun set to rise at 7.04am.

It will set at 6.55pm. This will largely be the same on the other two days of the tournament, except sunset and sunrise will approximately move one minute later.
