JCB Golf and Country Club will host a LIV Golf event in 2024.
LIV Golf has now confirmed JCB will host the LIV Golf UK event from July 26 to 28 and will replace Centurion Golf Club in Hertfordshire as LIV’s UK stop.
JCB in Staffordshire has hosted events in the last two years on the Legends Tour, the DP World Tour’s veteran circuit.
It was opened only four years ago by British billionaire Lord Bamford, chairman of JCB – a manufacturer of equipment in construction and agriculture.
NCG understands Lord Bamford attended LIV Golf London as a guest in July, an event won by the then-reigning Open champion Cameron Smith.
Centurion will continue to host the UK leg of the Aramco Team Series, a Ladies European Tour competition held at several different venues and nations.
Centurion hosted LIV’s first-ever event in June 2022, worth $25 million, which was won by former Masters champion Charl Schwartzel.

NCG understands Centurion has been pleased with the coverage and spotlight that LIV Golf has given it having held the start-up tour’s inaugural event.
JCB will now join an ever-growing list of UK golf courses in connection with LIV Golf and its financial investment in the professional game.
In February 2022, LIV upped its investment in the Asian Tour to $300 million to help form the International Series.
It’s now a series of 10 events, which recently saw Newcastle’s Close House host a field which included Lee Westwood, Ian Poulter and Graeme McDowell.
Fairmont St Andrews also hosted the St Andrews Bay Championship in August – won by LIV player Eugenio Chacarra.
The LIV Golf league, commissioned by two-time major champion Greg Norman, branched into continental Europe for the first time in June when holding an event at Valderrama – a course used for many previous DP World Tour tournaments.
