2024 has been one of the best and strangest years for golf in recent memory, but how much do you remember about what has gone on in our quiz?
Two players separated themselves from the rest, with Scottie Scheffler showing why he is the best player in the world in the men’s game, and Nelly Korda doing likewise in the women’s. Both had several wins, including major titles, to their name in 2024.
We had nine major championships, with eight different winners. Those events were held across three different countries, as Scotland hosted both the Open Championship and the AIG Women’s Open – while France hosted the Amundi Evian Championship.
It was also an Olympic year! Le Golf National – home to the annual French Open, and of course the 2018 Ryder Cup – was the venue for golf at the 2024 Olympic Games. Two Americans were defending their crowns from three years previous, but it was two new winners of the Gold Medals this time round.
There has also been the weird and the wonderful as well. Winless streaks that just won’t end, players deciding to come back the next day, and plenty more occurred across the course of the year.
