The Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship is in its 20th edition in 2025, having first been held in 2006 and won by American Chris DiMarco.
DiMarco is only one of two Americans to win the event, along with Rickie Fowler in 2016. Since then, Martin Kaymer has won it three times, and Tommy Fleetwood and Paul Casey have both won it twice.
It was held at Abu Dhabi Golf Resort until 2021, the year Tyrrell Hatton won this Rolex Series tournament for the first time. This is the fourth Rolex Series event of the calendar, with the fifth and final one being the DP World Tour Championship the week after.
The Hero Dubai Desert Classic was the first back in January, which Hatton won. Chris Gotterup won the Genesis Scottish Open at the Renaissance Club, then Alex Noren won the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth.
The Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship is the second-to-last event of the year and is the first leg of the DP World Tour Playoffs. Below are more details about the event and some answers to some questions in our Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship Preview 2025.
