‘I did it with my little baby’: O’Neal records top 10 while six months pregnant
Despite playing just five rounds in six months prior to this week, Blair O’Neal was not going to miss out on the chance to compete at the Diamond Resorts Tournament of Champions.
O’Neal, who is six months pregnant, played all four rounds and was thoroughly impressive throughout. The American finished in 6th position on the celebrity leaderboard and scored 129 points in the stableford format.
The LPGA season-opener features a mix of the tour’s biggest stars and a host of well-known celebrities and is often viewed as one of the most fun events on the schedule by fans and players alike.
According to Beth Ann Nichols of Golfweek, O’Neal said: “I figured it would be a really cool experience to be able to look back on and say that I did it with my little baby.
“It’s funny because everyone thinks ‘Oh, that baby bump, it’s going to help you hit the ball further.’ No, no, no. That’s not how it works guys. It’s the opposite.”

While the American was there to enjoy a competitive golf tournament she also had her wellbeing at the forefront of her mind and made it clear before the tournament that comfort breaks could be a regular occurrence.
“I have to know where all the restrooms are because I have to go to the bathroom like every 30 minutes,” she joked. “That’s real talk.”
