Sueno

Sueno | NCG Top 100s: European Golf Resorts

Located within an hour from Antalya International Airport in a golfing paradise that houses more than ten resorts on the NCG Top 100 European Golf Resorts list, Sueno is right at the heart of golf in Turkiye. Sueno sits on the Mediterranean Sea coast in the Turkish region of Belek, and despite having been around for less than two decades, it has quickly become one of the best golfing venues in the region.

The two golf courses offer something slightly different. The Pines is the championship 18-hole track at Sueno, and measures at more than 6,400 yards. It flows perfectly and winds its way through the natural habitat and surroundings of the Belek region. The Dunes Course is the shorter of the two and brings more water into play. The two golf courses put together make for an incredible golfing venue, with 36 stunning holes in play at Sueno.

Add to that that there are two incredible hotels as well, and you’re onto a winner. The Sueno Hotels Golf sits in the middle of the two courses, and is aimed at those coming for a golfing break. With several types of rooms and an on-site spa, it is the perfect golf trip destination.

The Sueno Hotels Deluxe sits on the beachfront, at the southern side of the resort, and with the Mediterranean coastline to its south. There is much more accommodation on offer at the Deluxe, including rooms, suites and the Island Villas, which are five-bed, five-bath properties to suit the entire family. The Sueno Hotels Deluxe Spa is a state of the art facility, and there are plenty of restaurants and eateries, along with the Lollipop Kids Club for the little ones.

There are plenty of options to choose from when it comes to a golfing destination on the south coast of Turkiye, and especially in the Belek region. However, thanks to its 36 holes and two wonderful hotels, Sueno puts its name right at the top of that list.

Sueno Overview | NCG Top 100s: European Golf Resorts

36 Holes of Championship Golf

Sueno can boast two sublime golf courses, the Pines Course and the Dunes Course. The 36-hole resort is one of the best in the Belek region, with two unique layouts and some spectacular views. The International Design Group were the team behind the two courses, which were constructed in 2007 and 2008.

The Pines Course is the longer of the two, a Par 72 measuring at more than 6,400 metres, and opens with a par-5 which sees water come in on the opening tee shot. Water comes into play on the opening four holes on the Pines, including the par-3 3rd which sees the tee shot hit over a pond. Both 9 and 10 feature island greens, just to test your distance control, with the gorgeous dog-leg par-4 18th bringing the Pines to a close.

The Dunes Course is a Par 69 measuring 5,650 metres. It might be shorter than the Pines Course, but it is no easy ride. Again, water hazards feature a lot on the Dunes Course, with the majority of the front nine seeing the blue lagoons. The 18th, the closing hole on the Dunes, features an island green, and a stunning end to the round.
