Kaya Palazzo | NCG Top 100s: European Golf Resorts

The Belek region of Turkiye is now almost synonymous with golf. Kaya Palazzo is just one of more than ten resorts on the NCG Top 100 European Golf Resorts list to be situated in the region, and it has plenty to offer. There is a stunning 18-hole golf course with great practice facilities, while the accommodation offerings are second to none. There is also a glorious spa and health centre, providing the perfect place to relax and unwind.

David Jones was the man behind the golf course design at the Kaya Palazzo Golf Club and he did a terrific job. The course winds its way through thick, dense trees, while strategically placed bunkers seem to always be in the way. The 6,500 yard Par 72 lay-out also features nine lakes, which are in the eye line throughout the round. There is also a driving range and great short game area to hone the skills before taking on the course.

The range of accommodation is incredible at the Kaya Palazzo Golf Resort. The hotel itself has more than 600 rooms and suites to choose from, in a range of eight categories. Even the Superior Room, which is the basic offering at the hotel, exudes class and luxury. The Luxury Lagoon Suites are another level, and sit in a private part of the resort with their own shared swimming pool and restaurant.

That’s not it! There is also the Kaya Palazzo Villas, which come in three different guises. The Maldives Villas, the Swim Up Villas and the Golf Villas all offer something different, in a range of two- and three-bedroom properties. Finally, the creme de la creme are the new Palazzo Mansions. There are eight mansions available, sleeping between 10 and 14 people. Luxury is guaranteed, with these properties having their own private fitness facilities and swimming pools, along with a private beach between them.

It might not be the most obvious choice when you’ve got Carya, Sueno and the Montgomerie Maxx Royal in the region, but if you’re looking at Turkiye, then you certainly need to give a second thought to Kaya Palazzo.

Kaya Palazzo Overview | NCG Top 100s: European Golf Resorts

Kaya Palazzo Golf Club

The 18-hole lay-out at Kaya Palazzo Golf Club is a David Jones design. It is not the longest course in the world, measuring just shy of 6,500 yards from the back tees, but that does not mean that it is an easy ride out there.

In total, there are nine lakes around the course, which come into play on the majority of holes. There are also plenty of bunkers and the fairways are tree-lined, meaning accuracy off the tee is a must during a round at Kaya Palazzo.

Water first appears on the left side of the 2nd, with the 3rd then being the hardest hole on the course. At more than 420 yards, and with an approach shot that has to carry over a river, a par is a very good score. The 5th then goes around the opposite of the lake you see on 3, and also has an approach over water. 9 and 18 finish on opposite sides of a small lake, situated right in front of the clubhouse.

There are great practice facilities on offer at Kaya Palazzo as well. The driving range is more than 300 yards long, and provides ample space for golfers to get to work. There are two putting greens, one by the driving range and one by the clubhouse, for those final touches.

Unreal Accommodation

There are also Duplex Swim Up Suites, with the bottom half of those being located on the ground floor, like the Swim Up Superior Rooms.

The hotel also has a number of Suites and Swim Up Suites, but the Luxury Lagoon Suites are the top of the pile.
