Saint Endreol Overview | NCG Top 100s: European Golf Resorts

Stunning Golf Course

The golf course at Saint Endreol is only three decades old, having been inaugurated in August 1992. French golf course designer Michel Gayon was the man behind the course, and he made the most of the Endre River, with the 18-hole championship lay-out working its way around the river throughout.

The course is set under the view of the Rocher de Roquebrune, which glows red during the sunsets. The hills on the course offer their own challenges, but apart from the water hazards which flow throughout the lay-out, there is not much else in terms of difficulties.

The water comes into play as early as the 2nd hole, which dog-legs to the right around the hazard. The signature hole at Saint Endreol is the par-3 13th hole, where players tee off from an elevated tee box. The green is essentially an island green sitting in the Endre River, below the golfer. The round comes to a close with the stunning 18th hole, which features six bunkers, while the green itself is just 50 metres from the clubhouse.
