Lykia Links | NCG Top 100s: European Golf Resorts

Lykia Links is one of Turkiye's newest gems, and it also holds the title of being the first and only links-style golfing venue in Turkiye. Add to that a stunning resort hotel, and you have one of the best resorts in Europe to fulfil that golfing experience.

The resort is located in a golfing paradise. To the west of Lykia Links sit ten other resorts named on the NCG Top 100 European Golf Resorts list, including the likes of Montgomerie Maxx Royal, Antalya GC, Robinson Nobilis, National Golf Club, Sueno and Titanic Cullinan Links. Lykia Links is unique compared to all those for one simple reason, though… The course itself.

Lykia Links is exactly what it says in its name, it is a links course. It is not only the first and only links course in Turkiye, but it is also the very first links course to be designed and constructed in the Mediterranean region. That makes Lykia Links a special design, thanks to Perry Dye, who styled it on a number of venues to have hosted the Open Championship

The Lykia World Antalya Resort is a stunning piece of architecture, and provides accommodation options for all guests. From couples to families, the resort has something for all patrons. From deluxe rooms with both land and sea views, to suites that lead out onto one of Lykia World’s several pools, it really is luxury defined.

Turkiye is fast becoming one of the most popular golf destinations, and Lykia Links is certainly up there among the best resorts in the region.

Lykia Links Overview | NCG Top 100s: European Golf Resorts

Lykia Links Golf Course

Lykia Links Golf is a first for Turkiye and the Mediterranean region - a truly unique and exceptional links course. Located on the sea, the championship links course was designed to take advantage of the natural terrain to create a particularly challenging and rewarding golfing experience.

As with most links-style courses, how well golfers play depends on how strong the prevailing wind is. That is the same with Lykia Links, and the wind will be at its worst during the Mediterranean coastline stretch of 13, 14, 15 and 16. These four holes are laid into the dunes, reminding players of proper links courses in the United Kingdom.

It doesn’t get any easier after that either, with the closing hole being a very tricky finisher. The 18th brings the course to a close in style, with a green shaped like an upturned saucer. Perry Dye was the man to lay the course out among the dunes at Lykia, and this finishing hole is an ode to old-school links golf.

Lykia Links Golf Academy

The Lykia Links Golf Academy is up there with the very best. The facility includes a stunning driving range, with both matted and grass tees for players to practise on. There is also a putting green and short game area for players to hone their skills before going out and taking on the links and dunes.

The Academy was built with the aim of trying to help every golfer that walks through its doors. With a range of coaching and tuition options, for young and old, beginners and experienced golfers, there are lessons for everyone at Lykia.

Lykia World Antalya

Next door to Lykia Links Golf Course is Lykia World Antalya, a stunning accommodation option.

Both sea views and views of the golf course are on offer at Lykia World, with rooms and suites varying from standard rooms, to suites with indoor Turkish baths, to family units that house six people.

The standard rooms are luxurious and there are a range of family suites so you can bring the entire crew, before moving up to the King Suites and Pool Suites. The Prestige Suite, which houses six, is the ultimate in luxury stays at Lykia.

Lykia World Spa & Wellness

Not only does Lykia World back onto the only links course in the Mediterranean region, but there is also a high-class spa & wellness facility as well.

Using traditional techniques, the spa’s professional therapists will help dispel harmful toxins from your body, while you find your inner tranquillity. Experience saunas, steam rooms, traditional Turkish baths and an indoor Japanese pool.

There are also a wide assortment of massages and treatments available. Lykia World Spa & Wellness Centre offers aromatherapy, sports massages, cellulite massages, Balinese, Thai and Swedish massages, shiatsu and reflexology, to name just a few. There is also a fitness centre filled with the latest equipment to get those muscles pumping.
