Golf du Medoc Overview | NCG Top 100s: European Golf Resorts

Two 18-Hole Golf Courses

Golf du Medoc is one of the leading French resorts for golf, with two 18-hole championship level golf courses for you to test your skills on. There is the Chateaux Course and the Vignes Course, both offering something very different.

The Chateaux course is an attempt to bring the Scottish links to France and was the brainchild of American Bill Coore in the late 1980s. The course flows freely within its natural surroundings, with wide fairways bordered by heather, gorse and broom. The quality and technicality of the greens make this championship course a golfing challenge. Both par-3s on the front side of the course are played over water, with the 5th being the course’s signature hole.

The Vignes Course, designed by Canadian Rod Whitman in the early 1990s, is integrated into a typically regional landscape where the aesthetics of the moors and maritime pines enrich the architect's design. It is a more technical challenge than its older sibling, but there are scoring opportunities for golfers who put their ball in the right place.

Training Center Bernard Pascassio

In the heart of the Golf du Medoc Resort sits the Training Center Bernard Pascassio, a unique golf teaching service in France. Laurent Pargade and his team offer golf tuition as well as individual and group lessons in a place reserved solely for teaching, equipped with the latest technologies to improve your swing.

The Training Center at Golf du Medoc has a large putting green and chipping area to hone your short game skills, along with a covered driving range so you can get the practice in no matter what the weather is like.

The three professionals at the Training Center offer coaching for those who have never picked up a golf club before, right the way through to those elite players who are trying to fine tune their game.

Hotel MGallery Medoc

Nestled in between the two golf courses at Golf Medoc is the 4-star hotel offering - the Hotel MGallery Medoc. The hotel has established links with the local vineyards, and opens out onto the golf courses, with wonderful views from its rooms.

There are a total of 79 rooms, including six fabulous suites, which invite guests into an elegant and comfortable stay at Medoc. The Suites are all situated on the first floor of the hotel and have their own balcony with a view over the golf course.
