It is one of the leading French resorts on the NCG Top 100 European Golf Resorts list for a reason. Château d'Augerville’s golf offering comes courtesy of golf course designer Olivier Dongradi, who designed the course in the 1990s. It plays under the shadow of the castle itself, with the 18th green finishing right in front of the Château d'Augerville.

There is also an academy where golfers can hone their skills. With a driving range and short game area, along with lessons from a pair of PGA qualified instructors, there is help on hand for players of all abilities. Away from the golf course, Château d'Augerville is the home to an amazing spa facility, to help guests relax and unwind, to destress and to just enjoy a day to themselves.

The accommodation itself comes in different forms. There are rooms in the Château d'Augerville itself, while there are also rooms and suites in two 17th Century outbuildings, which overlook the golf course. Château d'Augerville Overview | NCG Top 100s: European Golf Resorts

Golf By The Castle

Chateau d’Augerville has been around for more than 800 years, but it is only in the last three decades that there has been a golf course in the grounds. Olivier Dongradi was the designer of the course, which was opened at Chateau d’Augerville in 1995.

The course sits to the south and east of the Chateau, with tree-lined fairways and plenty of water hazards to collect errant shots. There are both lakes and the Essonne River, which winds its way through the estate and cuts across several holes.

The 18th hole is the signature hole at Chateau d’Augerville. It is a long par-4 with one of those aforementioned lakes down the right side of the fairway, along with a couple of fairway bunkers. The approach sees golfers play over the Essonne River to the green, which sits in front of the Chateau itself.

Château d'Augerville Academy

Along with the stunning golf course, Château d'Augerville is also the home to a golfing academy. There is a driving range that has 30 bays for long-game practice, with 10 of those being covered and sheltered from the elements, so practice can continue through inclement weather.

The practice facilities at Château d'Augerville also include a short game area. There is a putting green which measures out at 1800 square metres, and a chipping area for players to hone their short game skills.

Also available at Château d'Augerville is golf tuition and coaching. Two qualified PGA professionals, Nicolas Lecoutre and Nicolas Belloncle, are available to help players of all abilities and ages to improve their golf games.

Château d'Augerville Spa

Opened in 2015, Château d'Augerville's Spa offers a peaceful atmosphere for guests who just want to get away from the stress of life for a day. With soft lighting and pastel-painted walls, the spa has a cosy and natural atmosphere that promises a pleasant time.

No matter what time of year, guests can take advantage of all the benefits at the Château d'Augerville Spa. Hydromassage spaces, aquamusical spaces and tonic spaces are just the start, while there is also the opportunity for counter-current swimming. There is a sauna and Hammam, as well as a pedi-spa for the relaxation of the feet.

On the upper floor, there are six care cabins that give guests the possibility of many various massages and treatments. Among them, the "Coup d'Eclat" cabin offers manicurist and pedicurist spaces. There is also a double cabin to allow for couples massages and treatments, to share with a loved one.

5-Star Accommodation in the Chateau

The Château d'Augerville Golf & Spa Resort is the proud home to a 5-star hotel. The hotel and its two historical carriage houses offer a range of 40 charming rooms, all which have been elegantly decorated in a contemporary style whilst still maintaining a traditional atmosphere.

The Traditional Rooms are the standard offering at the Château d'Augerville Golf & Spa Resort, and can be equipped with either a large double bed or two twin beds. These rooms are located in the 17th Century outbuildings, and overlook the courtyard. The Deluxe Rooms are another level of luxury, with high-beamed ceilings and traditional fireplaces to add a touch of elegance to the room.
