Motocaddy M-Tech trolley review

Motocaddy M-Tech trolley review

Motocaddy call it a 'luxury compact folding trolley', so does it live up to the description?

Motocaddy M-Tech trolley review: NCG verdict

It’s clear from the moment the M-Tech leaves the box that it is a premium product and it’s very stylish out on the course.

The folding mechanism is really simple and easy to use – with the pull of a lever the trolley unfolds virtually unassisted making setup very quick. It also has an adjustable handle height so you can get it just how you like it.

The small footprint meant I could easily fit this in my car boot alongside my golf bag. I did notice this trolley is slightly heavier than others I have tested when lifting it in and out of my car.

You can now forget about trying to get your trolley to stay still on slopes, or stop it running away down the car park, the automatic downhill control in this trolley really is a game changer. This trolley grips and stops on all surfaces and terrains I tested it on.

The LCD screen was provided really clear viewing and the graphics and modes on the screen were clearly set out. I found the round timer to be a fun additional feature to track how long your game has taken.

The battery life indicator includes six bars to show you how much battery you have left. When testing I found I was only using one to complete a round of golf showing just how powerful this battery is. It is also really small and compact making transportation easy.

If you want something that stands out on the course, has premium detailing, and performs to a high standard, put the Motocaddy M-Tech on your list of trolleys to try.

Motocaddy app

Motocaddy have updated its free GPS app to incorporate potential lifesaving features that indicate the location of on-course defibrillators and provide golfers with CPR instructions to administer to anyone suffering a cardiac arrest when playing golf.

The app features a simple six-step guide showing you how to perform CPR. This is easily accessible within the main menu and via a red heart logo on the app’s Play Golf screen.

Should a defibrillator be available at the course, the app will display an AED logo, which features emergency phone numbers to call for help. Instructions on how to access the defibrillator will be shown, as well as using GPS to show the golfers location.

The app can also be paired with any Motocaddy connect trolley model to offer optional smartphone notifications direct to the trolley handle.
