How do the TaylorMade P760 irons compare to the P790?
TaylorMade P760 vs P790 irons: NCG verdict
So which model is right for you?
Well I think it comes down to your ability and your aspirations.
If you’re a solid, consistent player then I’m struggling to see why you’d favour the P790 over the P760.
The P760 look great and have a fantastic forged feel in the shorter irons but still offer some help and forgiveness in the long irons.
If you struggle to consistently hit your shorter irons then you may benefit from a full set of the P790.
Or you may be a solid player but want to make the game as easy as possible.
Or you may be a player like me who hits the ball reasonably solidly but wants to improve.
I actually feel like the P760 will help me improve. They may not help me shoot my best score tomorrow but with practice and a few lessons I feel like they will help me shoot my best possible scores as I improve.
They make me want to play and make me want to improve.
And ultimately irons are about accuracy, not distance, and I actually feel like I can be more accurate with the shorter P760 irons.
