NCG Tests: Callaway X-Hot Irons
SRP: £599 steel, £729 graphite (4-P?)
Testers’ comments
DM: These are frighteningly long, they just go forever. So powerful. They look like Callaway irons used to – they remind me of the old X-12s, which I used to love. It feels like Callaway have decided to concentrate on what they are good at – in this case forgiving and power-packed irons.
SC: They look a bit clunky to me and I got on better with the X Hot Pros. Quite expensive too. I’d say they were aimed at the 15 to 20 handicapper.
JW: The lofts are strong, but even so they are very, very long. If you’re a mid-handicapper and struggling for yards then you need to try a set of these. Incredibly powerful.
