FIRST HIT: Benross Quad Speed drivers
CUSTOM fitting, the benefits of which are clear, is not something that everyone has time to do properly.
And that’s why it’s such great news that the new range from Benross allows you to pick a driver that suits your swing characteristics in next to no time.
That’s not to say Benross recommend anything other than spending time with a good pro being fitted for their products but you will find that you can fit into a a Quad Speeds very easily.
The theory is simple – as the loft increases, the shaft softens and the launch angle and spin levels increase. So the RIP, the version with the strongest loft, will launch it lower and with less spin. While the most-lofted MAX will send it high and with plenty of spin to keep it up there.
The RIP will best suit strong players, the MAX will suit players with slow swings, and the HOT will cater for those in between.
Benross have utilised extensive performance analysis in the design and claim each club matches the typical swing characteristics of their intended target market.
Performance-wise, there’s no question the Quad Speeds are the most impressive drivers Benross have brought to market.
They have an appealing shape and the glossy white crown is very striking. A high-quality VooDoo shaft completes the package.
There is plenty of forgiveness on offer in all models and it is clear from testing that each club lives up to the claim.
So if you want a driver that cuts to the chase in terms of custom fitting, try a Quad Speed.

IN THE WORDS OF THE DESIGNER
Simon Daddow, the man behind Benross’s equipment, on the inspiration behind his latest creations…
“Inspiration for the Speed range came from studying the different types of golfers using Benross drivers. Typically, golfers buying a 10˚ driver want and need completely different features and specs to the golfer buying a 14˚.
“Yet drivers from most brands come in three lofts and a single shaft option. In our eyes, it only seems fair to develop three drivers, all with different lofts, head features and – crucially – shafts.
“This way we can tailor each driver to benefit the game of the golfer who is likely to use it.
“Very simply, the Speed range allows golfers to buy a driver pretailored to their swing characterstics.”
