Would you score better using only irons? Let’s find out in our Ping i59 review
It’s a question Hannah Holden thinks about quite a lot. So we sent her to find the answer
One question I get asked a lot is “Can you play golf with only irons?” So I decided to put that to the test!
For my Ping i59 irons review – how good do they look, by the way? – I played an entire round at my home club of Huddersfield with just irons. (And a putter, of course, I’m not a lunatic.)
So, can you play golf with only irons?
Bearing this in mind and having a shiny new set of Ping irons that needed testing, I set myself a bit of a challenge and headed out onto the course to see if I could get around 18 holes without any woods or hybrids.
How did I get on? Did I manage to play 18 holes to a similar standard to how I would without any club restrictions? And, more importantly, how did the Ping i59 irons perform?
Well, you’re going to have to watch the video to find out.
