Sounder Long Marl Sock Review: First impressions
When the samples from Sounder arrived the socks were the first things I looked for. You can tell a lot about a man from his shoes and you can tell a lot about a brand from their socks. These are quality.
They are chunky and feel like they are adding comfort to whatever footwear you choose to wear them with, but they are also not obtrusive like a welly sock. They feel and fit like really good-quality running socks.
The Sounder Long Marl socks are available in grey and black as pictured here, and white and grey. White socks are a bit erm marmite, and my preference is definitely the colourway pictured here, which I think can be worn with almost anything.
I pulled them up for the purposes of this picture, but quite liked the 118 guy vibes, and may make this a permanent gym look.

They are the type of socks that make you hope it is cold. They have quickly become a go-to winter accoutrement alongside base layers and mittens, I would find it difficult to set off for a game in anything other these days.
Length in this case really does matter, and having those extra few inches to use when the weather turns is a real treat for tight calves.
Sounder Long Marl Sock review: The 19th hole
As you can see I have worn these socks to the gym. The colours are a great match for plain coloured gym gear and the compression is handy for old muscles. I have also worn them rolled down under jeans and they seem to not bulk up like a football sock would.
