Zurich Classic report: What happened at TPC Louisiana?
Jon Rahm and Ryan Palmer were too good for the field on Sunday as they converted a 54-hole lead to secure victory.
The Spaniard is undoubtedly one of the game’s brightest talents, but we’ll get to that, and his game seemed to match up perfectly with Palmer’s.

A final round featuring four birdies was enough to ensure the pair had a comfortable-three shot lead coming down the last despite a late rally from Sergio Garcia and Tommy Fleetwood.

The win is Palmer’s first for 3,388 days – he last won on tour at the Sony Open in 2010.
Crucially for the American he will receive a two-year exemption and will be teeing it up at next month’s PGA Championship.

As mentioned earlier, Rahm has a huge future ahead of him and it’s testament to the standard of his game that he has been so prolific in the early stages of his career.

The Spaniard has already tallied up seven top-10 finishes on the PGA Tour this season and was very much in with a shout of winning the Players Championship.
Some of golf’s most memorable character’s have come from Spain, notably Sergio Garcia and Seve Ballesteros – the latter of whom also won in New Orleans – and Rahm is now adding his name to that list.

We saw in the Ryder Cup just how good ‘Moliwood’ could be – that is the pairing of Tommy Fleetwood and Francesco Molinari for those of you who have been living under a rock.
This week Tommy teamed up with fellow European Garcia and, as you can imagine, it went pretty well.

Throughout the entire week the pair looked to be enjoying their golf, as well as the company, and put together a performance worthy of a second-place finish.
Granted Sergio is the leading points scorer for Europe in Ryder Cups, but the real point to take from this week is that Fleetwood seems to be really, really good at team formats.
