The 2014 Ryder Cup hero will be out of action after a nasty chainsaw accident

Welsh professional golfer Jamie Donaldson is facing a spell on the sidelines after a nasty accident involving a chainsaw.

The 40-year-old posted a picture on his Twitter account today showing his followers the gruesome injury to his hand.

The image shows that his injury has required stitches to the bottom part of his little finger.


He tweeted the following with the picture: “So folks in my time off decided to have a fight with a chainsaw and lost! Oops! C u in Dubai.”

From Donaldson’s tweet, it seems that he is planning to return for the Dubai Desert Classic in February.

The 2014 Ryder Cup hero had been been due to play on the European Tour for part of the Gulf Swing in the Middle East over the next three weeks as well as playing in the Singapore Open at the end of this month.
