Tiger plans to add Genesis Open to scheduleDecember 16, 2017 Golf News
Tiger Woods hopes to head to Riviera in February, according to reports
The Tiger Woods 2018 schedule will include the Genesis Open on the PGA Tour in February, according to a report from Golfweek.
The American publication claims a source “with direct knowledge of the situation confirmed Woods’ plans”, though the source “was not authorised to speak publicly”.
Tiger Woods has not played the @genesisopen since 2006. With 11 career starts, it's the PGA Tour event he has played most without winning once. Woods lost the only playoff of his PGA Tour career in the 1998 edition to Billy Mayfair (won the other 11 playoff appearances).

After finishing in a tie for 9th in his latest comeback at the Hero World Challenge, Woods’ upcoming schedule was immediately on the mind of golf fans across the globe.
Speaking after his final round at Albany Golf Club, Woods said: “We’re going to sit down here and we’re going to figure out what’s the best way for me to build my schedule for the major championships.”
When pressed on the matter, Woods added: “Play enough, but don’t play too much.”
This time last year, Woods followed up a 15th-place finish at the Hero World Challenge by ambitiously announcing he would play four tournaments in five weeks.
He managed to play the Farmers Insurance Open, where he missed the cut, before heading to the Dubai Desert Classic, where he withdrew after an opening-round 77. That was the last we saw of him in competitive action until December.
Woods is expected to add another appearance at Torrey Pines, the Honda Classic and Arnold Palmer Invitational between now and Augusta.
