He’s done it! Tiger Woods is a PGA Tour winner again for the first time in four years, one month and 19 days!
Now it’s just the small matter of the Ryder Cup…
Tiger Woods 2018 schedule: The year so far
After finishing in a tie for 23rd at Torrey Pines, Woods went on a fine run that included a 12th at the Honda Classic before top-5 finishes at the Valspar and Arnold Palmer Invitational. His only blip came with a missed cut at the Genesis Open.
He then finished T32 in his first appearance at The Masters since 2015 before a disappointing T55 showing at the Wells Fargo Championship.
Woods improved at The Players Championship with a tie for 11th and briefly led the tournament at the Memorial before dropping to a tie for 23rd on Sunday.
He missed the cut at the US Open in brutal conditions at Shinnecock Hills before a tie for 4th at the Quicken Loans National and a fine showing at Carnoustie.
His tie for 6th at The Open moved him into the top 50 in the world and eligible for the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational, where he tied for 31st.
The following week, he made a run at his 15th major, but was held off by Brooks Koepka at Bellerive. He then announced he would be playing in the FedEx Cup Play-offs, where he tied for 40th at The Northern Trust, tied for 24th at the Dell Technologies Championship, and tied 6th for the BMW Championship to qualify for the season-ending Tour Championship, which he won by two over Billy Horschel.
