LIV Golf will not be holding its season-ending Team Championship at Royal Greens Golf and Country Club in Saudi Arabia.
The breakaway tour has announced a tweak to its schedule and the finale of the 2023 season will now take place at Trump National Doral in Miami, as it did in 2022.
The original schedule had Doral down as the 13th stop on the 14-event tour, with the venue in King Abdullah Economic City set to hold the Team Championship.
LIV Golf Jeddah will now be held from October 13 to 15 after initially being scheduled from November 3 to 5. The Team Championship in Florida will take place from October 20 to 22.
Last year’s LIV Golf Team Championship used a unique structure within the match play format, combining singles and foursomes matches. 4Aces GC took home the winner’s share of $16 million from the $50 million prize pot.

After the regular 13-tournament season is over, the player at the top of the standings will be the individual champion, and the final team standings will determine how each side is seeded from one to 12 for the Team Championship.
4Aces GC has largely dominated the 2023 LIV Golf League since February and the four-man team made up of Dustin Johnson, Patrick Reed, Pat Perez, and Peter Uihlein currently leads the team standings after nine events.
Teams earn points during the season by finishing in the top eight places of each leaderboard – with the bottom four teams receiving no points.
Much like each LIV Golf event, the Team Championship is set to be shown on the CW Network, the Saudi-backed circuit’s lead broadcasting station in the United States.
Cleeks GC member Richard Bland has previously described the nerves he felt while competing alongside partner Graeme McDowell at last year’s season finale.
“I was literally shaking from the first to the last putt,” he told NCG. “It was one of the most nerve-wracking 18 holes of golf I’ve ever played. But it was just great. That’s what we play for.”
