Four years between wins – same trusty putter for McDowellApril 1, 2019 Golf Equipment
Graeme McDowell sealed his first win since 2015. Equipment editor Hannah Holden delves into his bag
We take a look at the Graeme McDowell WITB 2019 rundown after the Northern Irishman claimed his fourth PGA Tour victory at the Corales Puntacana Championship.
McDowell claimed his first victory in more than three years when he shot 18-under-par, with a final round 69, to win by one stroke over Canada’s Mackenzie Hughes and American Chris Stroud.
It was McDowell’s first win since the OHL Classic at Mayakoba in 2015 and it included a third-round 64 that needed just 20 putts, including 15 consecutive single putts – and it was all thanks to the help of our very own Karl Morris.
The victory lifts McDowell 124 places in the world rankings to 133rd and inside the top 150 for the first time since 2017.
Right, let’s take a look inside his bag…
