Celebrating your Anniversary with a Golfer
Golf is a fun sport that means time outdoors to keep you fit and relaxed, with a bit of friendly competition. Celebrating your anniversary with a golfer could include a meal or party at the local clubhouse where an experienced events team can help you celebrate in style. For milestone anniversary parties they can help you prepare everything from room layout and table decoration, entertainment, menu and drink options as well as those special flourishes to ensure you have a truly memorable occasion. Here are some other ways to celebrate your anniversary with a golfer.
Anniversary gifts
There is a list of traditional gifts that can be given at each anniversary that are symbolic of the strength and value of your relationship. Starting with paper for a first anniversary with oak for your 80th.
Here are some ideas. Under consideration for 1st anniversary gifts for him could be a photograph of you both on the golf course or a framed golfing cartoon. The second anniversary is cotton, so perhaps a T-shirt. The third anniversary is leather, so perhaps new golf shoes or gloves. Linen marks year four, so perhaps a new pair of golf trousers or a linen tote for golf balls or other golfing paraphernalia. The fifth is wood, and the sixth is iron, which makes those two easy.
Milestone anniversaries can be tricky when marked as gems: pearl (30), jade (35), ruby (40) and sapphire (45), but use the colours to link with your gift. Your 50th anniversary is gold, and the perfect gift would be a 24K golf ball that you can play on the course or put on display at home.
Golf club membership
Our lives are busy, which means finding time for a round of golf is not always easy, but even those who are occasional golfers who play once a month or fortnight would appreciate the gift of golf club membership. Membership offers not only full use of the course but also full use of all the facilities a club has to offer, such as a driving range, practice ground, putting green, professional shop and possible added extras such as a discounted clubhouse bar.
Most clubhouses have a friendly atmosphere and present opportunities to make friends for life. You can introduce your children to the game, and during school holidays there are likely to be junior competitions that help them improve their game, whilst also learning how to conduct themselves on and off the course, learning some key life skills in both a sporting and social life.

If you both enjoy golf, gift tickets to one of the four recognised professional Major Championships in the men’s game: The Open Championship, The Masters, the US Open or the USPGA Championship.
