Bridgestone launches summer competition series
Bridgestone is giving golfers the chance to win prizes and compete in a national tournament as part of their summer golf competition series.
The golf ball manufacturer is staging six sponsored golf days at various courses where club members will also be given the chance to be fitted for the ball most suited to their game.
Last year, the Bridgestone Ball Fitting Challenge recorded an average distance increase of 10.1 yards per player fitted.
The swing speed, launch angle and spin rate of each golfer is analysed to determine the ball that delivers the most distance and accuracy for the individual.
Players will also be given the chance to win products played by the likes of Fred Couples, Matt Kuchar and Paula Creamer.
“The clubs we’ve chosen offer a great mix of parkland courses” said Bridgestone’s north region communications manager, Andy Dingley.
“We’re looking forward to seeing competitors at the national final later this year.”
The golf days and ball fittings will be staged at Muswell Hill GC (May 23); Leighton Buzzard GC (June 15); Huntswood GC, Buckinghamshire (June 28); Ingon Manor CC, Stratford-upon-Avon (July 5); and Notts GC, Hollinwell (July 19).
