Do you struggle with reading greens? Do you not really understand what you are supposed to be looking for?

Deana Rushworth from The Belfry is on hand to give you a couple of pointers on how you can judge slopes more simply on the greens.

Reading greens

If you are struggling to see any sort of slopes on the greens think of yourself as a human balancing machine.

If you stand with both feet together behind the ball, and feel if one foot feels slightly lighter than the other. That shows that the slope is favouring the heavier foot.

This means that you should putt to the side of the hole that your foot feels the lightest.
