As we wave goodbye to the US Open and that wonderful win for Jon Rahm, we stride on to more high-quality European Tour action and the BMW International Open. With this one absent from the calendar last year due to the impact of Covid, there is plenty to analyse in order to find the winner. I’ve picked out three players I fancy to challenge here.

BMW International Open details
Venue: Golfclub Munchen Eichenried, Munich, Germany
Date: June 24-27, 2021
Course stats: Par 72; 7,283 yards
Course summary: This course is a relatively easy, flat, tree-lined parklands that shouldn’t cause players too many problems. Some danger lurks in the form of water hazards on 10 of the holes, but the primary rough is playable and removes much of the emphasis on accuracy. The slow, flattish greens will be a wonderful sight for anyone who played at Torrey Pines last week, with a low score expected to win this.

BMW International Open betting tips
As usual I am joined by Steve Carroll on the Dialled In podcast to discuss my top tips for the BMW International Open, where I outline three players I think have a great chance to win this week.
Bazza’s Banker: Sam Horsfield @ 33/1 with Bet365
I put Horsfield up not too long ago, but due to a late withdrawal a lot of research went out the window. My theory still stands however, in that we have yet to see the best from the Englishman this season, and this could be a great opportunity for him to add another European Tour win. Horsfield is a very consistent player, ranking 4th on tour for SG: Total this season. His strong approach play and putting, ranking 24th and 2nd respectively, make him tough to overlook and with a 21st place finish in his only start previously in this event he certainly appeals.
The outsider: Calum Hill @ 55/1 with Bet365
Hill is having a fantastic season on the European Tour, with four top-10 finishes to date. He has looked close to grabbing his first European Tour title on a number of occasions, and based on his stats this could be the week. Hill currently ranks 13th for SG: Total this season, gaining strokes on the field in all five key measures. There really isn’t a weakness in his game at the moment, with the block to a win perhaps lying in his lack of experience at the highest level. That is something that is growing by the day, and in my opinion it will not be long before he wins.
The long shot: Jacques Kruyswijk @ 140/1 with Bet365
Kruyswijk is another player who I tipped recently, and I am going back in on him again as he is once again over-priced in my opinion. Kruyswijk ranks 3rd on tour for SG: Total this season, behind only Paul Casey and Tyrrell Hatton. That is illustrious company to say the least, and when you consider he ranks 4th for SG: Tee-to-Green and SG: Around-the-Green, it is hard to work out why his price is so big. Perhaps that could be down to a lack of wins on the European Tour, but with recent form reading 19-39-14-17-7, that could be about to change.
