Well we visited elite golf coach Dan Whittaker at his state of the art studio, fitted with Trackman software, to ask him to simplify the terminology for you.
The first term Dan talks explains is attack angle:
Attack angle is simply the angle of which you are attacking the ball at.
With shorter irons you want to see a negative attack angle so that you are hitting down on the all. With the driver, you ideally want a positive number so you are hitting up on the ball, reducing the spin and therefore maximising distance.
