I am under the belief that Wilson are a massively underrated brand when it comes to their driver offerings and I think we have seen an improvement across their releases. They have now introduced new additions to their Dynapwr range which seems to be here to stay.

This is the carbon head model, so how did we find it? Find out in our Wilson Dynapwr Carbon Driver 2025 review…

5 star review
NCG SUMMARY

This has a look that just suits my eye perfectly. The whole tour inspired look is something I am a big fan of and allows it to have a compact profile behind the ball that isn’t either clunky or overly intimidating.

A big positive of this Wilson driver is its adjustability which allows it to fit a number of different golf swings and various golfers. It’s low spinning and with a slightly closed face this will get you finding the fairways on a regular basis.

PROS

  • Feels great

First Impressions

Straight away it is visually obvious this has a tour inspired shape. There is plenty of carbon used in the styling of this Wilson driver with some on the crown and plenty of carbon on the sole.

If I’m being truthful it looks a little bit like the TaylorMade Stealth driver with the inclusion of the carbon crown and red trim. the toppling separating the carbon and the face always reminds me of the original Stealth.

Wilson Dynapwr Carbon Driver review

For performance benefits the driver has two alignment lines to reassure golfers of their accuracy off the tee.

All in all, I do love the shaping. It’s a fairly small and compact profile that suits my eye. I do feel as though when rested on the ground it can seem to have a closed face which will suit players who have a tendency to loose the ball out to the right.

NCG Verdict

For what is a standard head, this is a really adjustable driver. There is a weight at the back of the head and a one at the front of the head which is interchangeable for that golfers can dial in their spin to suit their swing.

As well as the weights there are six different loft options and settings in the hosel adding to its adjustability. Golfers can change the loft and lie angle of the driver to maximise performance and ball flight.

Like many drivers coming out this year, Wilson has included a titanium face in each driver of the Dynapwr series. I must say the feel of the titanium face in the Wilson Dynapwr Carbon driver is something I really like. Carbon driver faces may be the future but for me there is no commodity like comfortability.

Wilson Dynapwr Carbon Driver review

I found that off pure strikes there was a nice, low spin rate often around 2000rpm, as well as a good launch and a strong ball speed of 157mph from my first shot. After testing all of the new drivers for 2025 this was one of the few options that was spinning at an optimal rate for me allowing for a longer roll out.

The consistency of the spin rate was really impressive and the front to back dispersion on the shots I hit was really small even though my strikes were far from perfect. Even for the shots are the toe the speed was still quick.

The head does feel a little heavy whilst swinging the club. It feels as though I am hitting the ball with a substantial object and positively it doesn’t have that tin feel that some of the less carbon clubs have.

Because it has a more premium feel, the sound is also brilliant. When developing this driver range, Wilson has spent a lot time running simulations through materials and face patterns to make the sound crisper across the face. This higher pitched sound helps with the feedback from the face of the driver.

Wilson Dynapwr Carbon Driver review

Overall, this driver offers great distance and a suitably low spin rate for optimal performance off the tee. This head felt the best out of all the Wilson Dynapwr drivers for 2025, it didn’t look like it was going to go straight right off the face like the low spin head.

I am a big fan of the carbon head as well as the two weight ports on the sole making it really adjustable for variety of golfers.
