NCG SUMMARY

The Avanti Pro Spike Golf Shoe is another premium women’s golf shoe from Duca. These offer the perfect blend of tradition and modern style to create something really eye-catching.

The new spiked technology really hits the mark in providing top-level traction and stability and makes this one of my favourite shoe choices for when I am playing competitive golf.

First Impressions

Straight away, I loved the smart styling of these. I think Duca has done a great job of creating a middle ground between something traditional and something more funky and new. Visually this is a great modern golf shoe. I love the all-white choice but with different shades to create more visual interest on the upper of the shoe. I also love the addition of the red sole, it makes me think ‘Louboutin’s’ and gives these an extra touch of flair.

As with all Duca shoes, these have a really premium look and feel as soon as you get them out of the box. I like the subtle use of logos on the shoes and always love the small Italian flag detail on the heel of the shoe.

On Course Testing

I have worn these for a lot of rounds of golf this year, mainly because I have really enjoyed the performance. I typically wear a UK size 6 golf shoe and found this size was a perfect fit in this model.

I love a spiked golf shoe, so was super excited as soon as I heard about these back at the PGA Show in January. The spiked sole really delivers, I have loads of traction out on the golf course, regardless of the lies or locations I put myself in. This makes me feel really comfortable going full out at the golf ball and knowing I’m not going to slip. As well as the obvious soft spikes, the sole also features secondary 5mm traction studs for increased stability.

Comfort is one of the most important elements of any pair of golf shoes. These are extremely comfortable underfoot which is great and means your foot doesn’t tire when you are out on the golf course. This shouldn’t be a surprise, given the lightweight eva midsole was designed for shock absorption.

I think it is worth noting, given these are firm quality leather, the high heel is quite firm, so it is worth wearing this in before you get to the golf course or wearing a pair of thicker socks. I do think this higher back and firmer leather gives a really good fit around the ankle and foot, which really helped with stability when hitting shots but also when walking on sloping ground.

These are advertised as waterproof, and I can confirm they tick all the boxes here. I have played in these in light rain and heavy rain, as well as trekking through my fair share of long wet rough, and my feet have remained dry throughout. If you are someone who plays golf no matter the weather, these are certainly a great all-weather option.

The 19th hole

Given this is a spiked golf shoe it does limit its versatility. I would wear these in the spike bar at the golf club for a few drinks but don’t think they will be making an appearance off the golf course otherwise.

Overall I have really enjoyed testing these golf shoes, I love the traction and stability which makes them favourites when it comes to picking which shoes I will wear out on the course.
