This hybrid is perfect for players who are looking for control out of their hybrid, not just all-out distance. The new sole and face designs allow quality shots from all lies making this hybrid as versatile as they come.

First Impressions
The Callaway Paradym hybrid should be on display in the Louvre. You cannot find fault in its appearance. I love the colour scheme change from the Rogue ST, it has a much more high end feel. Behind the ball it looks compact and strong, and unlike a lot of hybrids it gives you the impression you might be able to work the ball.
NCG Review
The Callaway Paradym hybrid definitely has to potential to be the best hybrid of 2023. Once I stopped admiring it’s beauty, it only took one shot for me to know this could be put straight into my bag with no further testing for my next tournament.
My test started on the range where I was able to hit a number of shots from a perfect lie to collect some data from my FlightScope. I was blown away by just how consistent my results were, the front to back carry dispersion is really tight and my left to right is also remarkably low.
The astonishing consistency is thanks to Callaway’s new AI designed 455 face cup which has varied thickness throughout the face so that ball speed and spin are optimised even on your miss hits.
I hit the 21 degree head which is your 3 iron replacement club. I found that it probably carried 5-10 yards longer than my 3 iron despite being a slightly weaker loft, and much more consistent.
My club speed wasn’t particularly quick either so the Paradym hybrid was absolutely making me look better than I was on the day. The fast ball speeds are down to Callaway including a large tungsten speed cartridge on the sole and moving it closer to the face.
This combined with their jailbreak with batwing technology which stiffens the frame to create a springier face, makes the ball rocket off the face, especially on centred hits.

The second part of my test was out on the course. I hit the Callaway Paradym hybrid out of a variety of lies and really enjoyed the shots I played.
From the fairway I was able to shape the balls both ways which is not common with hybrids. I did struggle getting the ball up in the air as the CoG is close to the face which makes high launch difficult.
The real magic happened however when I hit some shots out of the rough. The cutwave sole design really helped cut through the thick rough and I was able to advance the ball up towards the green a lot cleaner than I would normally expect.
I really enjoyed testing the Callaway Paradym and believe its going to help a lot of golfers in 2023. The new sole is brilliant and the shots feel fantastic from all strike locations. If you want a new hybrid you absolutely should check this out!

How do we test golf clubs?
To test this product, we travelled to West Cliffs, a leading European golf course just North of Lisbon. The idea was to get some warmer weather and escape our frozen British courses. It, of course, rained, a lot, was very windy. Each of our test team was allocated a category of golf clubs, fairways, or a specific type of driver or iron.
We gathered data on a Trackman 4 or FlightScope. We used Titleist Pro V1 for all tests. The samples we have are either fully fitted for our testers or ordered in our assumed specs. We are then able to optimise performance by swapping shafts and playing with the adjustability.
