Callaway Epic Forged irons review: First Impressions
The platinum chrome finish to these irons make them stand out immediately. These irons are in the game improvement category but there looks could easily fool you, these have the design of a players iron.
Callaway Epic Forged irons review: The Technology
The irons are a multi-material design but have a forged 1025 carbon steel body to provide exceptional sound and feel at impact. The patented urethane microspheres are designed to absorb unwanted vibration.
In this model Callaway have added a suspended tungsten core into a forged iron for the first time. This features custom tungsten weights to precisely position the centre of gravity for a more controlled launch.
360 face cup technology helps increase ball speeds due to the shallow, flexible rim around the face that flexes and releases through impact providing faster ball speeds.
A new vft pattern has been implemented to provide consistent ball speeds and spin rates so you can get consistent distance control in your long and mid irons.
Callaway Epic Forged irons review: NCG Verdict
First off this is a great looking golf club, the shaping means it sits really nicely behind the ball, in fact you wouldn’t really believe this iron sits in the game improvement category.
