NCG SUMMARY
The Tour Soft from Titleist is a familiar name in the golf industry but for 2026 it see’s a upgrade. It’s been refreshed cover through to the core – aiming to improve distance off the tee and stopping power into the greens.
It’s a two piece construction that has a refreshed dimple pattern to increase driver distance – it certainly managed that!
Stopping power into the green was also impressive for a non premium Titleist golf ball, including the price tag.
PROS
- Excellent spin rates on short shots
- Nice soft feel off the club face
- Consistent spin rates with longer clubs
- Excellent performance with the driver
CONS
- None

First Impressions
Titleist has stuck to its traditional colour scheme for its 2026 Tour Soft ball. The classic blue box helps to identify which Titleist this exactly is.

The ball itself is very plain and simple – what Titleist does best. It follows the alignment line detailing like we’ve seen with the 2026 AVX ball.
50 yard performance
Starting with a 58 degree, trying to hit a 50 yard shot. The Titleist Tour Soft very much resembled the feeling of the Velocity which I tested only a week prior. It came off the face soft as you’d expect from the name. Spin rates at nearly 7000RPM are impressive for a non premium golf ball. The Velocity only reached an average of 5522RPM, so the tour soft certainly topped that.

7 iron performance
Moving onto 7 iron, I enjoyed the soft feel off the clubface. The carry wasn’t the longest I’ve seen with a 7 iron but was still very reasonable.
Spin rates were pretty tight knit and all at a decent rate given the indoor mat used for testing.

Driver performance
With driver I was really impressed with the numbers and consistent ball flight. These were pretty much what I would be looking to see, a strong carry number for this time of year and ball speed. Spin was both consistent and very much in the window I would be looking for in terms of long game spin.

The 2026 ball has seen a compete tech upgrade from core to cover with a new 386 quadrilateral dipyramid dimple pattern. This has allowed for more consistency and longer distance off the tee – as I’ve found.

NCG Verdict
I really enjoyed undertaking this Titleist Tour Soft 2026 golf ball review.
Overall, the Titleist Tour Soft has remained a strong ball option on the market for many years and will continue to do so with its 2026 updates.
This is great for any player who likes a softer feel, great performing ball without paying the Pro V1 premium price.
