Golf irons have entered a new era and Cobra are one of the leading lights. It’s clear that 3D printed irons are here to stay and now the brand has launched their latest edition.
The number of Cobra staff golfers using 3DP irons on tour is telling to there quality. Most notably, players like former Masters champion Danny Willet and six time PGA Tour winner Max Homa are some of those who have the Cobra LIMIT3D irons in their bags.
Kyle Westmoreland also won earlier this year with a set of 3DP MB irons on the Korn Ferry Tour. So, there is seemingly plenty to get excited about when it comes to new Cobra 3D Printed irons.
Let’s take a look at what makes the Cobra 3DP MB and X Irons tick…

Cobra 3DP MB and X Irons: The Technology
These irons are designed to deliver an unmatched level of feel. Being equipped with a muscle-back solid, they are able to produce a soft feel and a more muted sound at impact.
The muscle backing enables a reduction in the number of vibrations that the club produces on each.
Cobra has also introduced a 3DP Tour Lattice Supporting face that strikes a good balance a player’s distance performance and a soft feel. As a result, golfers are able to still fit the ball far but produce the more intricate and delicate shots into the green.
The face structure also produces a muted sound that you would normally only experience of the face of MB irons.
Cobra has helped to install an increased amount of forgiveness in these irons thanks to the tungsten heel and toe weighting they have included. Positioning the weight in these areas helps to stabilise the club head and to resist any twisting on off-centre hits.
The irons are crafted from a one-piece 3D Printed 316 stainless steel construction. This allowed Cobra to have more freedom in the structure of their irons to create a softer feel and more forgiveness from each strike.
