PXG is back with a new full face wedge, Stick’Em. These wedges are designed with a tour-inspired look. They use modern PXG performance technology to higher spin, a consistent launch, and exceptional feel across all playing conditions. Nicola Slater got her hands on some to see how they perform…
NCG Summary

NCG SUMMARY
First up, what an interesting name – very PXG. Instantly this made me think of sticking a shot in close to the flag in a match against an opponent.
Looks wise, these are sleek and stylish. The design is very minimal but it really works, especially as there is so much going on with the full face.
PROS
- Stunning design
- Looks good behind the ball
- Great feel around the greens
CONS
- Chrome finish was very shiny in the sun
First Impressions
Straight out of the box, they offer a simple yet sleek design. The back of the head is minimal with the full face doing all the talking.
The full face design is very inviting behind the ball. It makes the face look larger and so it’s very inviting at address.

These wedges are in a chrome, but PXG do offer them in a black finish too.
On course performance
PXG offers these wedges in two grind options, BP Grind and the S Grind. The BP Grind offers a fuller, wider sole – effective with higher bounce. This is better suited for steeper attack angles and softer ground conditions. Whereas the S-Grind has a more tapered sole, to deliver moderate bounce. This is great for players with a shallower, more neutral angle of attack. This is great for being able to open the club face up more around the greens.
The Stick’em Forged Wedges are made from 8620 soft carbon steel that has been tripled forged. This process helps to produce a tighter structure for exceptional sound, feel, and durability.

I’ve tested these both out on the course over the last couple of weeks as well as using a GC3 at an indoor studio to gather data – with my standard Titleist ProV1x ball.
In terms of the results, aiming to hit a 50 yard pitch shot I very much enjoyed how these wedges felt. Spin rates weren’t crazy high but pretty respectable at around 6500RPM. I do tend to launch 50 yard pitch shots a little high so this will impact that number.

I’m not used to using a 56 degree so this was my full swing data with it. Launch and carry was pretty consistent but I did see a wider variation with spin rates.

Final Verdict
PXG does a great job in offering lots of customisations with these wedges. Around the greens they offer a nice amount of spin. Into the greens the spin isn’t the highest that I’ve seen but not all players want this. In bunkers they glided nicely through the sand and the full face gave plenty of confidence at address.
