First Impressions
They look absolutely gorgeous! That was my first impression. A very classy-looking shoe. Many years ago, I had very classic-looking golf shoes which performed well from a support point of view but were not the most comfortable. Would these shoes with great looks give the performance and comfort we expect from modern shoes?
On Course Testing
The construction comprises a soft leather upper with an impressive 1-year limited waterproof warranty. The shoe has an EVA welted construction. Welted shoes are usually a sign of a high-quality construction. They are described as having a dynamic rubber outsole and have Softspikes PINS Tornado cleats.
Despite their sturdy appearance, these shoes were extremely comfortable. The fit was pretty true to size, and they were a perfect fit for me. As would be expected from their construction, they provided fantastic support during a full golf shot. Walking the course, they remained comfortable throughout and provided very good support over uneven terrain. The Softspikes provide excellent grip, and I was not in fear of slipping down grassy banks.
The 19th hole
My impression of most golf shoes is that they are, at the very least, comfortable. Manufacturers clearly realise this is the number one priority, and the more classic and sturdy models will have to compete with these. These Greg Norman ISA Tour shoes do that. They maintain a very classy look with comfort, and they are waterproof too.
