If you really can’t choose between laser and GPS then this is the answer.
I would describe it as primarily a laser that also has GPS functionality.

Most of the time I zapped away as usual, but on occasion the GPS was more useful.
For example, if you’re in the trees, can’t see the pin or are just too far away to need a precise yardage, the GPS is really handy for at-a-glance information.

That’s great if you’re between clubs and helps you decide whether it would be better to finish short or long.
There’s no doubt there are GPS devices out there that are more sophisticated, but the basic information the Hybrid provides is enough for most of us 99% of the time.
All courses are pre-loaded, so you never need to connect with a computer and and, better still, there are no subscription charges to worry about.
